Wild Wasabi Birthday card

Today I am working on my $10 Tuesday class.  I decided to make a birthday card inspired by Stampin' Up! using the Wild Wasabi cardstock special cut paper.  I used Bashful Blue textured cardstock and the new Bashful Blue striped grosgrain ribbon.  I love this ribbon in all the colors.  I hope it makes you happy.  Martha

Happy Day Card

Stampin' Up! has a wonderful special on some pre-cut, pre-scored cardstock in Wild Wasabi.  I love the textured cardstock.  Have you seen the die-cut blooms.  They are perfect for any card and they are textured also.  Here is my card for you.

I have fallen in love with the rub-ons.  They are so easy to use and will save you lots of time in your cardmaking.  I used the Boho Blossoms punch to make the center flower and attached all with a green brad.  Enjoy your day.

Easter Ribbon Flower

  I am still very new at posting to this blog.  Me and computers do not see things the same way.  Joe has been a big help and has put up with all my frustrations.  Bear with me while I learn how do do blogging the right way. 

I have made a new Easter card using Gloriuos Gift, which was in last year's mini catalog.  I stamped the flower in Lavender Lace Classic Ink and Mellow Moss leaves. Then I punched a 1/8" hole at the tip of each petal and in the center.  I used organdy ribbon but could have used our new taffeta ribbon.  I just did not have enough of the taffeta on hand to make the flower.  It's on order and should be in soon.

I took the ribbon and attached one end to the back of the card and brought it up through the center, down in the first petal hole and back up through the center and so on until all the petals were done.  Do not pull the ribbon tight when you are threading the ribbon through the holes.  I secured the ribbon to the back of the card and place a small rhinestone brad in the center.  I hope you will try this card.  It is really quite beautiful..

Easter Blessings

I have been working on my  Easter cards.  I thought you might like to see what I have done.  I used Perfect Plum and Pale Plum as my card stock and I used a very old stamp from Stampin' Up! named Christ is Risen.  I embossed the wording in Gold Glory.  I also used the hardware oval in our Aged Copper hardware kit.

This card reminds me why I celebrate Easter.
