Hey, I'm back from our cruise to Bermuda. Everyone had a wonderful time. I shopped and took pictures and went on tours. I stayed quite busy learning all the techniques the girls were presenting. I read 2 1/2 books and ate like a crazy fool. What a fun trip.
Today I decided to make a quilt card. I will be teaching a class on Monday on paper quilting. Come on over and learn a new trick. I found the pattern in Paper Quilts by Sandra Lounsbury Foose. This quilt pattern is called Bright Hopes. It is a relatively easy quilt to make. The quilt size is 2 1/4" square and you will need 8 strips of paper, 2 of each pattern, measuring 2 1/4" X 3/8". You will need a 2 1/4" square of Very Vanilla Cardstock. I found the middle of each side of the vanilla square and made a line to form a plus sign. This way I can lay my paper pieces on straight. Straight is very important here. Weave the paper under and over like I did on the card and glue it down. You're done except for actually making the card. I hope you love it. The patterns make a difference also, so try some out before you glue them down. Have a beautiful day. Martha

What a beautiful card. I love the way the callico-like patterns in quilts look so great in this card. Beautiful.

Very beautiful Martha. That may be the closest thing to quilting I would try.

VERY nice Martha! I love quilts, and the prints you've chosen for the card work very well together!
