I love making cards for my grandchildren. Todd loves all bugs. His favorite stamp set is Bugs and Kisses by Stampin' Up!. This card surprises you when you open it because the bugs are pasted on a spring made from a round circle. It is so easy to do. You punch 1 1/2" circle out of the same cardstock as your background. This is so that the spring will not show up as strong on the card. Then take your paper snips and begin cutting (anywhere on the circle) a 1/8" piece all the way around the circle until you get to the center of the circle. This makes your spring. Glue one end of the spring to the top part of the stamped inside card and glue the other end to the bottom of the inside of the card. Then glue the bugs (or anything you want) to the spring. After if dries, when you open the card, the bugs spring up at you. If I have not made myself clear, please email me any questions you may have. This card looks great with stars also. It was made with stars at Stampin' Up!'s convention. I don't know who thought up this idea, but it is a good one.
By the way, a quick way to cut out the objects you want to pop up is to use the new Big Shop die cut machine. We have many dies for all sorts of pop ups like flowers, stars and alphabets for words. Don't forget my pre-buy special for the Sizzix Big Shot. Have a blessed day.

Love this bug card! Thanks for the instructions...I'll have to try this.
