The last 2 days, I have been in Charlotte. My Sunday School Class was going to Mary Jo's Cloth Store. Of course, I had to go. We had a great time. I purchased some fabric to make Joe a quilt. We also stopped at the Chico's Outlet. I did not know there was a Chico's Outlet but was surprised at the prices. They are lower than the Chico's here. I like shopping when there is a bargain. We also found a nice Quilt shop right off the bypass around Greensboro -called the Ye Olde Forest Quilt Shop. If you love quilting as much as I do, try quilting with the Big Shot. Stampin' Up! sells the Big Shot and lots of dies to use for quilting. I will be happy to tell you all about it. I have made 4 quilts in less than 10 hous each - start to completely finished. I have it quilted by a long arm quilter. You will love it. Come to one of my quilting classes. I am teaching in Mechanicsville, VA on October 21-23, 2010. Sign up for class soon as one is full and others are filling fast. Contact me soon.
Now back to stamping. I had a Christmas Stamp Camp on Saturday. There were lots of girls here stamping. The cards were lovely. I thought I would put some on this blog this week. This is a simple card made with our Deck the Halls designer paper and Soft Suede cardstock. I layered the designer paper on Cherry Cobbler cardstock. I used the Bright Christmas (121678 or 121318 clear) stamp set. It is in the Holiday Mini catalog on page 22. You can create lots of cards using this word set. I inked the stamp in Always Artichoke and removed the ink from the arrow with a blender pen. I then took my Cherry Cobbler Marker and inked the arrow, then stamped it on Sahara Sand cardstock. I roughed up the edges of some Always Artichoke cardstock and made it wider than the Sahara sand. I tied our wonderful new seam binding(120992) around the artichoke scrap and layered it on to the card. This is one beautiful card. The Deck the Halls DSP(120810) is very vintage and it is absolutely beautiful. I am teaching a Song Book class in December (4th) I we will use almost the entire pack of dsp in this fabulous book. If you have not purchased this designer paper, you will not want to miss out. Everyone loves it. By the way, with the song book comes a free CD that plays all the songs that are in the book. I have my copy in my stamp room. I will take some pictures and put it here on my blog. Thanks for looking today. I will post some more cards soon. Blessings, Martha
