Saturday, I had my downline meeting in Mechanicsville, VA.  We had 20 in attendance.  It was so much fun seeing my wonderful sisters in Stampin' Up!.  We stamped a valentine card and a valentine heart box for candy.  Imagine receiving a darling box like the one Monica is holding and it is filled with candy and love.  It's such a treat.  I was at Jean Goodman's Stamp Studio.  Liz and I went up on Friday and made so many wonderful cards with Jean and Tammy. Tammy made lunch and Jean made dinner.  I didn't have to cook. I will be posting the cards we made this week.  Some were cased and some were originals.  Come join our group and have lots of fun and meet some wonderful new friends.  Thanks for visiting my spot today.  Blessings Martha

3-D for Valentines Day

This is a fabulous idea to give for Valentines day.  You can give it to the children at school or to your friends at church.  I did not make it.  I took a picture of it at Leadership and I do not know who to give credit to.  I thought it was darling. I think you can get the clear poly bags on line at clearbags.com.  Fill it with valentine candy or M & M's.  She used the I (Heart) Hearts stamp set stamped in Real Red ink on Whisper White cardstock.  Enjoy.  Blessings, Martha

  I'm going to visit Jean and Tammy in Mechanicsville, VA and we are going to do some major stamping.  I love going to visit them because I get so many wonderful ideas from them.  I have to contribute also, so I made this cute little note pad.  I used Blushing Bride cardstock and designer paper for the book.  I cut both with the Scallop Circle and the Big Shot.  I did not put one side on the cutting edge so I could have a fold to make the book....did that sound right? To stamp the image wreath, I used the fabulous new set Bitty Blossoms (121927W/122000 C).  The wreath colors are Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride and Perfect Plum.......vintage colors. To get the lighter effect on the leaves I stamped off before stamping on the project. This is a quick and easy project to make.  I added a note pad that I got at the Dollar Tree some time ago.  I hope you like it and will try it yourself.  You can order this fabulous set on my website.  Blessings and have a fun day. Thanks and come again.   Martha    

Another Birthday Card

 I have lots of birthdays in January so I am in the Birthday card making mode. This is a simple and fast card to send to a friend.  I used Pretty in Pink as my base card.  I used the  Framed Tulips embossing folder for the Big Shot to give some texture to the card.  I cut a small piece of our Valentine DSP and tied a 1/4" Whisper White ribbon around it.  I stamped the cake using the new "Bring on the Cake" stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The "So Many Candles" wording is from the same set.  This is a great set for birthdays.  Check it out.

Karen had a car accident on the ice about a week ago.  She totaled her car.  The Lord was with her in the accident as she plunged down a ditch.  She told me she had trees sticking up thru the interior of the car. She could have been killed.  I have spent a week looking for her a car.  I finally found one and she is so happy.  I don't think she will be driving on ice again anytime soon.  Blessings Martha

Birthday card

 Isn't this exciting.  We have spinners and a stamp set to match.  You can say Happy Birthday in lots of ways on one card.  I used the new In Color Poppy Parade as my card.  I stamped the card with the Wonderfully Worn background stamp in Poppy Parade.  I wanted to know what colors looked best with Poppy Parade so I consulted my Color Coach and it suggested I use Baja Blue and So Saffron.  I punched the So Saffron (2" scrap) on both sides with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch.  I love punches.  I tied a piece of Baja Blue seam binging around the So Saffron.  I cut a scallop square with the new Scallop Squares 2 die for the Big Shot.  I use my Big Shot for almost every card.  I love it.  The spinner image is stamped in Poppy Parade ink and I attached the spinner.  I hope you like the card.  We made it in our stamp club this month.  I wanted everyone to get their hads on the spinners.  Have a blessed day.  Come back soon. Valentine Class January 2010

 Love is in the air.  It's almost Valentines Day.  Red is my favorite color so I am always happy to make valentines.  This is my valentine class in January.  I have another class in February with all new cards.  I particularly love the snowman card.  He is made with our new 3" circle die for the Big Shot and the 2 1/2" circle punch.  I used various circle punches for the eyes, mouth and buttons.  His arms are the snowflake punch trimmed to make a arm.  I cut his nose freehand using a Pumpkin Pie cardstock scrap.  Have a fun day making cards.  Martha

January Scrapbook Club pages

 
This is my scrapbook pages for my scrapbook club in January.  I used Bashful Blue 12 X 12 cardstock as the base.  I layered a 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of Crumb Cake to each page.  I punched out snowflakes with our snowflake punch in White.  The snowman is made  using our new 3" and 3 1/2" circle dies for the Big Shot and the 2 1/2" punch.  He is just adorable.  I cut a nose in pumpkin Pie and punched smaller circle for the eyes and mouth.  The snowman arms are made with the snowflake punch trimmed to make it look like arms.  I used the Whimsey wheel on the 2nd page rolled in Whisper White ink.  I used the Alphabet dies for the Big shot and Schoolbook Serif alphabet stamps for the words.  I hope you will make a page like this for yourself.  Thanks for visiting my blog today.  See you tomorrow.

Leadership in Nashville

 

This is a shock to the system.  I am posting to my blog.  Here is Tammy and Jean with me in Nashville at Leadership.  We stayed at the fabulous Gaylord Opryland Hotel.  As you can see it is beautiful there.  Leadership was the best ever.  We got lots of ideas and free product.  We even got a free Starter Kit it give to someone who would like to be a demonstrator.  I would love to give it to someone who wants to have theirown business.  Would that be you?  If so, I have to have the paperwork by Friday, January 21 so I can mail it to Stampin' Up!.  Thanks for looking at my blog today.  I have lots of cards to post so come back tomorrow and have a look.  Martha
