Hello, I am so glad you stopped by. I decided to try to use a sketch on this week’s Splitcoaststampers. Each week they send me a sketch and I have never tried it. I found it easy and very enjoyable to make.
Supplies:
Nature’s Nest, A Word for You, Growing Green stamp sets
Woodland Walk DSP (117389)
Cardstock: Not Quite Navy, Crum Cake and Very Vanilla
Ink: Stazon Black, Not Quite Navy, Garden Green
Small Oval Punch
Very Vanilla Brad
Crumb Cake Seam Binding
Shimmer Paint on wings and tiny pearls for eyes
I cut the Not Quite Navy cardstock in half to make the card. I stamped the card in Not Quite Navy with the leaves in the Growing Green stamp set. I cut the Woodland Walk DSP in two sizes 2 1/4” X 4” and 2” X 4” and layered on the card. On a piece of Very Vanilla I stamped the dragonfly with Stazon Black and colored with Not Quite Navy and Garden Green. I painted white Shimmer Paint on to the wings and added tiny pearls for the eyes. I used the Aqua Painter for the coloring. I sponged around the edge of the vanilla with both Not Quite Navy and Garden Green and layered it on Crumb cake (3 1/4” X 2 1/2”) then layered on to the card. Mary Brown show me a way to make a perfect bow by using the brad in the center and wrapping it the ribbon. I’m not really good at it yet, but never give up – I will perfect it. I put the bow on with a glue dot. I stamped “thanks” on vanilla in Not Quite Navy and sponged around the edge. I punched with the small oval punch. I layered it on to Not Quite Navy and attached it to the card.
I hope you like my card. If you would like to order product to make this card, please visit my Stampin’ Up! website or email me directly.. Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Martha
