Tammy, Liz, Peggy and Sharon came to stamp last week. We made about 25 projects in 2 1/2 days. We had a blast. We played Christmas music while we worked. We got the spirit. We had lots of good food too.
Tammy designed this box. I cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock to 6 3/4" square. Score at 1/2" from the bottom. Turn and score at 2 1/2, 3 1/8, 5 5/8 and 6 1/4". Cut on score lines up from bottom to the bottom score line (1/2") . Then using the 1 3/8" circle punch, punch a half circle on the front and back of the box. I layered Garden Green cardstock (2 1/4" X 6") on the front, then layered some Frostwood Lodge DSP on top. I punched the half circle out to match the box. Fold and tape together using Sticky Strip. This tape is great for making boxes because it is so strong. Using the Got Treats stamp set, I stamped the gingerbread man in Soft Suede and cut him out. I used a dimensional to adhere him to the box. The words are from Sweet Season. I stamped the words in Cherry Cobbler and in Garden Green. I punched the Garden green image with the Decorative Label punch and the cherry one I punched with the medium oval punch. I also punched a Garden Green with the Decorative Label, cut it in half lengthwise and put it behind the words. I added the mittens from the Winter Wished Stitched Felt. This is a darling box. I filled it with Christmas cocoa, tied a Cherry Cobbler scalloped dotted ribbon around the cocoa and decorated with a button and our cherry cobbler twine. Isn't it just darling? This would make a great teacher gift or a gift for co-workers. It is inexpensive to make and it is impressive. You will get so many compliments on your project.
Today is a day to be expecially thankful for all the blessings given to us by our Heavenly Father. He is full of goodness and grace. I have so much to be thankful for - home, family, health, friends and the list goes on and on. Most of all I thank Jesus for saving me. Happy Thanksgiving. Blessings, Martha
